Ultrasound Images 3.30.11

All in all, the 20 week appointment at the OB/GYN went very well. We found out that we are having a baby girl, which I am extremely excited about (probably a little more than Rachel, who thought it was going to be a boy). She was measured and ultrasonically poked and prodded and we got to spend about an hour watching her roll around and react to all the excitement. Luckily, I ignored the technician's order to not record everything on video and recorded everything without her knowledge anyway. That's especially good because the technician gave me maybe 4 minutes at the end to record our little lady laying static on the screen. Definitely not good enough! ;) Once I am done editing that video down a little (or at least splitting it into 15 minute bits for YouTube), I will post most, if not all, of it. It's pretty amazing to watch. Luckily the camera picked up most of the audio, so you can hear the technician explain everything to us.

We had a great doctor come in to explain the results of the ultrasound afterward. He was very nice and quite funny. According to his explanations, our girl's progress is right on track. All her measurements are normal and Rachel's birth-giving apparatus appears to be all in order, in excellent condition, and within the perfect range. The only abnormal thing is that everyone was a little surprised about all of our little one's movement. It's nothing to worry about, just definitely a ninja baby!

Below are some pictures our technician took for us while she was doing measurements...
